What Is a Private Nagoya Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Toyota Museum, Nagoya Castle, and Hitsumabushi
The guests were visiting from Asia. It was their first time in Nagoya, so I guided them to the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology and Nagoya Castle, and for lunch they enjoyed hitsumabushi.
At the museum, the guests listened with great interest and enjoyed learning about the textile looms, forging equipment, the history of Toyota, and the car manufacturing line.
As for the hitsumabushi, the guests said it was the best meal they had eaten so far. When I explained the difference between Nagoya-style and Tokyo-style eel, they said they would try it in Tokyo as well to compare. At Nagoya Castle, the guests seemed interested in the history from the Sengoku period through the Tokugawa era, as well as in the imperial system.
