Tour Itinerary
- 1. Meet at 10:00 @ Nagoya Port Garden Pier
- 2. Travel to Nagoya Castle and view the Honmaru Palace and the area around the castle tower
- 3. Travel to Tokugawaen and view Tokugawaen (Japanese garden)
- 4. Travel to Osu Shopping Street and view the distinctive shops of the Osu Shopping Street
- 5. Return to Nagoya Port Garden Pier and disband at 14:00
What Is a Half-Day Private Tour of Nagoya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nagoya Castle, Tokugawaen, and Osu
The guests were visitors from North America. Interestingly, they came from the same region that is a sister city of the area where I (the guide) live, so while riding the subway from Nagoya Port to Nagoya Castle, we had a wonderful and lively conversation drawing on that sister-city connection. The guests were very fond of Nagoya Castle and Tokugawaen, and we took appropriate breaks along the way so everyone could view the sites comfortably. At the third site, the Osu shopping district, we focused on the arcade streets near Banshoji Temple, where the guests enjoyed the atmosphere of Osu's "cultural chaos." Although it turned out to be a compact half-day tour of Nagoya, I believe the guests were able to enjoy it fully.

I highly recommend Todd! He was extremely knowledgeable and a great English speaker! In addition, he was so helpful even before the tour started. He kept us apprised of the weather, the amount of cash we would need for select spots, etc. He was great and this tour was really wonderful!
