Tour Itinerary
- 1. Meet at 10:00 @ the lobby of Kuretake Inn Nagoya Hisaya Odori
- 2. Move to Nagoya Castle and view Honmaru Palace and the area around the castle tower 10:00-11:40・・Move to Nagoya Castle by subway
- 3. Move to Tokugawaen and view Tokugawaen (Japanese garden) and Tokugawa Art Museum 11:40-13:30・・Move to Tokugawaen by taxi
- 4. Move to Osu and have lunch @ Chinese restaurant Koranen 13:30-14:50・・Move to Osu by taxi and subway (Sakae→Kamimaezu)
- 5. After viewing Osu Shopping Street and Osu Kannon, disband at Osu Shopping Street 14:50-15:30
What Is a Private Nagoya Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nagoya Castle, Tokugawaen, and Osu
The guests were a group visiting from Europe. They showed particular interest in the Honmaru Palace of Nagoya Castle and the Japanese garden at Tokugawaen. As they keep koi at their own home, they especially enjoyed interacting with the koi in the pond at Tokugawaen. We had originally planned to have lunch near Nagoya Castle, but the guests preferred to eat later, so we had lunch at the final site, Osu Shopping Street, at a restaurant well known for its ramen, which they were happy to try. On this day, the annual "Osu Daido Chonin Festival" was being held in Osu, and it was very lively. Since the guests wanted to stay a little longer in the Osu Shopping Street to enjoy shopping freely, we concluded the guided tour there and parted ways.
