What Is a Private Cherry Blossom Tour of Nagoya Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nagoya Castle and Tokugawaen

The guests were a group visiting Nagoya, and they were delighted by the fine weather and the cherry blossoms in full bloom. At Nagoya Castle in particular, they enjoyed views of the blossoms from a small path atop a raised embankment on the southern side of the castle moat, an area opened to the public only during the cherry blossom festival season. For lunch, in line with the guests' wishes, we bought local specialties from the food stalls lined up within the castle grounds during the festival, and they enjoyed a hanami lunch on the long benches specially set up for the season. They also enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the Japanese garden at Tokugawaen, as well as the view from the Mirai Tower in the center of Nagoya. As one of the guests was experiencing some discomfort, we returned to Nagoya Port a little earlier than planned and ended the tour there.
