What Is a Private Nagoya Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Nagoya Castle, Tokugawa Garden, and the Tokugawa Art Museum

Although the tour took place during a nationwide cold wave, the weather in Nagoya was reasonably good, and the guests were able to enjoy each of the sites we visited. The guests were a group visiting from Europe, and some of them were interested in Japanese history from the Edo period and earlier in connection with Nagoya Castle, so I made a point of giving careful explanations in response to their questions as I guided them. Particularly well received were the winter peony event held at Tokugawa Garden, where they could admire 70 pots of magnificent peonies, and the Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival) display at the Tokugawa Art Museum. I also believe they appreciated being able to relax with plenty of time set aside for lunch and a coffee break.
