Can You Do a Private Family Day Tour of Nagasaki? A Licensed Guide's Report

I guided a group visiting from North America. The guests were interested in mountains and hills, and were keen to try the Inasayama Ropeway, so we timed our visit to its operating hours and went there first. Unfortunately the weather at the summit was not ideal and we could not take our time looking around, but I hope the guests were able to enjoy at least a glimpse of Nagasaki's distinctive scenery from the ropeway. After that, since the Atomic Bomb Museum was crowded with a large cruise ship group, I first guided them to Peace Park and the Hypocenter Park. At that point one of the guests did not seem to fully grasp the significance, but when I took them to the museum, they were deeply moved. They also expressed a wish to watch the video, and I was glad if it resonated with them even a little. Another of the guests asked many sharp questions, which gave me a lot to think about as well. After that we had lunch in Chinatown and I guided them to Dejima.
