  • 9:35 Meet at Koyasan Station
  • 9:40～10:00 Move to Daimon by Koyasan bus (360 yen)
  • 10:00～10:20 Stay around Daimon
  • 10:20～10:25 Move to Garan (Daimon～Kondo-mae 160 yen)
  • 10:25～12:00 Stay at Garan
  • 12:05～12:10 Move to restaurant by Koyasan bus (Kongobuji-mae～Tamagawa-dori 160 yen)
  • 12:10～13:00 Lunch (Miyama)
  • 13:10～13:20 Move to Okunoin by Koyasan bus (Tamagawa-dori～Okunoin-mae 160 yen)
  • 13:20～14:40 Stay at Okunoin
  • 14:40～15:00 Move to Senjuinbashi by Koyasan bus (Okunoin-mae～Senjuinbashi 270 yen)
  • 15:00～15:30 Juzuya Shirobei souvenirs
  • 15:30～16:30 Stay at Kongobuji
  • 16:30～16:50 Move to Koyasan Station by Koyasan bus (Kongobuji～Koyasan Station 460 yen)
  • 17:10 Koyasan Station, accompany to Hashimoto Station and disband

Title: What Is a Private Day Tour of Koyasan (Mount Koya) Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests said that this was their last tour day in Japan, and that although rushing around in the heat had been tiring, they found Koyasan cool and soothing today. They were very interested in Japanese architecture and in the differences between esoteric Buddhism, Buddhism, and Shinto, and they listened attentively. As the guests enjoyed photography, they took many pictures, especially at Okunoin. I also took several photos of the guests as keepsakes. Just after we entered Kongobuji, there was a sudden downpour, so we took our time and waited until it eased a little before heading to the bus stop. The heavy rain delayed the trains somewhat, but I made sure the train bound for Namba departed safely.

Hi! I’m an official English guide in Wakayama prefecture. I’m also a national guide as well. I’d like to expand my guide area to help tourists.
The town of Osaka offers a different atmosphere than Tokyo. I like both exciting Osaka and nature-filled Wakayama Prefecture.
If you stay in Osaka for 3 days, you can go to Koyasan for one day, or even for a day trip, so I recommend sightseeing at Koyasan.
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city, the nature of Koyasan will relax you.
I will introduce you to the unique culture, history and must-see sights.
