What Is a Private Koyasan Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private Koyasan tour for a guest visiting Japan from North America. While the rest of the group visited USJ, one guest joined the Koyasan tour, wishing to experience the history and mystical spiritual power of the sacred mountain. The guest was especially moved by Nyonindo, the Danjo Garan complex, and Okunoin. Despite some difficulty walking, the guest walked all the way from Ichinohashi Bridge to Kobo Daishi's mausoleum in Okunoin and seemed to truly feel the spiritual atmosphere. At the end of the tour, the guest bought many protective amulets for family and friends.

We had a wonderful tour around Osaka. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information about the places we visited. He was also very friendly and approachable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The length of the tour was just right for us—especially on such a hot day—and we still managed to find time to take some great photos.
