- 09:59 Take the Fujikyu to Shimoyoshida Station
- 10:25 @Arakurayama Sengen Park (Chureito Pagoda)
- 11:50 Take the Fujikyu from Shimoyoshida Station to Kawaguchiko Station
- 12:05 Join the tour to Fujiyama Twin Terrace
- 13:50 Take the bus from Kawaguchiko Station to Kawaguchiko Town Hall
- 14:00～15:00 Lunch @Kozaku Kawaguchiko Branch
- 15:10 Take the bus from Town Hall to Kawaguchiko Station
- 15:25 @Tourist Base Kawaguchiko for tea time
- 16:00 Disband @Kawaguchiko Station
What's a Private Fuji Kawaguchiko Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Chureito Pagoda, Fujiyama Twin Terrace, and Houtou Lunch
The guests were visiting from Oceania. Their English accent was easy to understand, and we were able to communicate very well.
Since they had expressed in a prior email that they wanted to visit Fujiyama Twin Terrace, I booked the tour in advance and set out early for sightseeing at Chureito Pagoda to match the tour's departure time. At the Twin Terrace, they were moved by the magnificent view of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji. (There were a few clouds, though…)
For lunch, I guided them to the local specialty houtou at a well-known restaurant, and they were delighted, saying it was the most delicious thing they had eaten in Japan.
As a souvenir, I gave them a pair of matching chopsticks, which they were also very happy to receive.
They were heading from Mishima to Kyoto by Shinkansen the next day, so I explained what time to leave the hotel, which bus to take, how to transfer at Mishima Station, and how to buy an ekiben station bento, and they were very grateful for this as well.
As reflected in the high review they left, I believe they were very satisfied. It was a lot of fun to guide them, and I feel we became good friends! They were great to spend the day with.

We had a great time. Our guide Meiji “May” made our day memorable. Excellent sites and great food, May is very knowledgeable of the sites, has very good English and had very nice details during the tour. Ahh and he has all the nice spots for pictures identified. The restaurant he took us for lunch was excellent, we tried an amazing hoto udon.

We had an incredible time exploring Tokyo with our guide, May! He was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, making every stop interesting with fascinating stories and local insights. His enthusiasm for Tokyo was contagious, and he really helped us curate this tour to fit our interests and make it our own.
The tour was well organized and included a great mix of iconic sights and hidden gems that we never would have discovered on our own. May also shared excellent recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and things to do after the tour, which made the rest of our stay even better. He even remembered that we were celebrating our honeymoon and helped us celebrate in a very memorable way, making the tour that much more special.
