Tour Itinerary in Detail

The tour started at 9:00 at Kawaguchiko Station and ended at 14:40. The day ran to 5 hours and 40 minutes from start to finish.

Over the course of the day the route took in Saiko Bat Cave at 9:45, Ryugu Cave at 10:10, Momijidai at 10:50, Sankodai at 11:25, Narusawa Ice Cave at 12:10, Fugaku Wind Cave at 13:00 and Kawaguchiko Station at 14:20.

Travel between the sites was by public transport: Kawaguchiko Station/Fujikyu Bus to Bat Cave Entrance/Fujikyu Bus (810JPY); Fugaku Wind Cave to Kawaguchiko (810JPY). Across 2 sections the fare came to 1,620JPY per person.

The weather was not very good, and Mount Fuji's summit was never visible, but there was no rain, no snow, and no muddy ground, so the tour proceeded smoothly. We headed by bus to the Saiko Bat Cave, and from the Wind Cave onward we walked the entire way, but the guests walked quickly, which was a great help. Mount Fuji should have been clearly visible from Momiji-dai and Sanko-dai, but it was cloudy, which was unfortunate. Perhaps due to the cold, the guests did not linger long at the Ice Cave and Wind Cave, and we returned to the station by bus more than 30 minutes ahead of schedule. At Kawaguchiko Station, I helped move up the departure time of their return bus, confirmed their boarding, and the tour came to an end.
