What Is a Private Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine Tour in Hiroshima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visitors from South America on their second trip to Japan, though it was their first time in Hiroshima. Their itinerary this time went Tokyo → Mount Fuji → Osaka → Hiroshima → Kyoto → Tokyo. During the tour, one of the guests interpreted into Portuguese for the group. They enjoyed the great torii gate, Itsukushima Shrine, the five hundred rakan statues at Daisho-in Temple, the stone lanterns, and the scenery. Since they were not very hungry, we had ice cream for lunch. The ice cream at a coffee shop in Miyajima is delicious and highly recommended. The weather was lovely, and it was a pleasant day.

Hi, I’m Kazumi, National Government licensed guide interpreter.
I have lived in Hiroshima over 10 years and know how to use local transportation around Hiroshima city.
Hiroshima was the first city in the world where an atomic bomb was used against humans. Why don’t you come to Hiroshima to learn about the tragedy of the atomic bombing and think about peace?
Not only the tragedy of the atomic bombing, I want to show you the beautiful scenery of Hiroshima. At Shukkeien, wonderful seasonal trees and flowers are in bloom, and the harmony with the beauty of the Japanese garden is wonderful!
Furthermore, Miyajima is worth visiting with its beautiful scenery of Torii-gate and Itsukushima shrine.
Don’t miss the delicious local food! Okonomiyaki is Hiroshima’s local food, it’s savory pancake, is typically made of cabbage, egg, and flour, but you can also put anything you like, such as pork and seafood. Hiroshima has a lot of delicious food not only Okonomiyaki for you to choose.
I want you to have wonderful time and have fun while staying in Hiroshima!
Let’s have fun at Hiroshima!!
