Tour Itinerary in Detail
Meeting at Kyoto Station at 10:00, the group explored Kyoto until the tour ended at 16:00. The day ran to 6 hours from start to finish. It included lunch at Gion Tamejiro Kiyomizuzaka at 13:20.
The itinerary covered JR train at 10:15, Fushimi-Inari Shrine at 10:20, JR Inari Station at 11:30, Express Bus from Kyoto Station Bus Terminal at 11:45, walk at 11:55, Kiyomizudera Temple at 12:20, stroll along Kiyomizuzaka – Sanneizaka – Ninenzaka at 14:10, Ryozen-Kannon at 14:40, Kodaiji Temple at 15:05 and walk at 15:40.
Travel between the sites was by public transport: Kyoto to Inari by train (150JPY); Inari to Kyoto by train (150JPY); Kyoto Station to Kiyomizuzaka by bus (500JPY). Across 3 sections the fare came to 800JPY per person.

The guests were a group visiting from North America. They had a lively, cheerful energy, and despite first impressions they were very polite and courteous throughout, which made the tour enjoyable from start to finish.
The weather alternated between light rain and clear spells, but not enough to require umbrellas, and the guests enjoyed taking photos of themselves at every stop along the way.
After visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple, the guests requested udon, so I took them to an udon restaurant along Kiyomizu-zaka. Despite the crowded street, the restaurant itself was quiet, and they were very satisfied to enjoy delicious udon in a relaxed atmosphere (I recommend it, as yatsuhashi is also included as a dessert).
Ryozen Kannon and Kodai-ji Temple were also uncrowded, allowing for a leisurely visit, and the guests' eyes lit up while taking photographs. They clearly had a keen appreciation for beauty and aesthetics.
At the end, the guests seemed tired and wished to return to Kyoto Station by taxi rather than by bus (they were on a day trip from Osaka), so I arranged a premium van from a taxi company that could seat everyone at once, saw them off, and the tour came to an end.

Ich habe eine wundervolle private Tour mit Nabet am Abend gehabt. Wir waren unter anderem im Viertel der Geiko und Maiko sowie am Fushimi-Inari Schrein. Ich habe viel über die Stadt Kyoto erfahren sowie die Religionen des Shinotismus und des Buddhismus. Nabet hatte viel Wissen und hat es mit Freude geteilt. Eine wirklich tolle Tour und ein schönes Erlebnis!

We had an amazing experience with Nabet as our tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions thoughtfully. From the beginning, he was on time, organized, and made sure to ask which locations we wanted to visit so he could tailor the tour to our interests since we were only in Kyoto for a day.
Nabet was also very friendly, engaging, and easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We learned so much throughout the tour thanks to his clear explanations and insights. Everything ran smoothly and right on schedule.
He gave us the best recommendation for dinner after the tour as well.

Nabet is an excellent guide. He explained Japanese history and customs clearly and comprehensively, including pointing out behaviour considered disrespectfu.
He was energetic and enthusiastic despite the humidity, long walks up hills and steps and crowded conditions, and was very patient dealing with the public transport ticketing systems. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
