Title: What Can You See on a Private Cruise Day Tour from Kobe to Kyoto? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. Being aware that the cruise ship's port time was quite short, and taking into account the traffic congestion that could occur on the way back, they purchased lunch at a convenience store and ate it during the ride in the private vehicle. I had informed them in advance that the round trip from Kobe, the travel between the sites, and the sightseeing at Kiyomizu-dera would each take a considerable amount of time. At the final stop, Fushimi Inari, one of the guests remarked, "I now really understand how difficult it is to visit many places." During the pre-tour consultation, they had originally hoped to see either Kiyomizu-dera or Nijo Castle, so I asked them to choose one of the two, and we decided to go to Kiyomizu-dera. Everyone was busy taking photographs. When we arrived at Kinkaku-ji right around midday, it was uncrowded. It seems that many tourists choose to visit Kinkaku-ji either first thing in the morning or in the afternoon toward the end of their tour. The photo was taken at the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.
