What Can You See on a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today I guided a group visiting from Oceania. The meeting time was set for 10:00, but I received a message that they would be running late, so we started at 10:30. One of the guests had been looking forward to the Arashiyama Monkey Park, where there were many wild monkeys, and the group enjoyed feeding them. Perhaps because it was quite cold today, the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove area was not very crowded, which was nice. The group had planned to visit Nijo Castle, but since they placed great importance on taking photos and photography is not allowed inside, I recommended Kinkaku-ji instead, and they happily agreed to the change. As we were running short on time, I gave an overview of our final stop, Fushimi Inari Taisha, before we parted ways. I believe the group enjoyed the tour.
