Kyoto Private Day Tour Itinerary: What Can You See in One Day with a Licensed Guide?
Today's tour was for a group visiting Japan from North America. Based on a recommendation from an acquaintance, they had made a reservation a year in advance at a traditional Japanese restaurant and inn in the Gion district. At the Arashiyama Monkey Park, there were many baby monkeys, and the group very much enjoyed feeding them. Afterward, we had lunch at a tonkatsu restaurant near Kinkaku-ji, which the group seemed to enjoy. We then headed to Kinkaku-ji, which was not very crowded, and the reflection of the Golden Pavilion in the pond was astonishingly beautiful. To save time, we took a taxi to Nijo Castle, which was also not very crowded, allowing us to take our time and look around. I believe the guests enjoyed the day.
