What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like for Families? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today I guided a group visiting from Oceania. They had visited Tokyo, Hakone, and Osaka, and were planning to travel to Hiroshima the next day. The planned itinerary was Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera, and the Higashiyama district, but since one of the guests had an injured foot and preferred routes without slopes, we quickly changed the plan and instead visited Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kinkaku-ji, and Sanjusangen-do. Thanks to making a last-minute reservation at a restaurant near Kinkaku-ji, we were able to skip the long line of school excursion students and have lunch, and the food was very well received. They were deeply impressed by the 1,001 Buddhist statues at Sanjusangen-do. I believe they enjoyed the tour very much.
