The guests were visiting Japan for the first time from North America. They walked well throughout the day. On the way to Kinkaku-ji, it began to rain and the wind grew quite strong, so they suggested taking a taxi. After Kinkaku-ji, we also took a taxi to Gion. The temperature dropped and the rain did not let up, so it seems the conditions were quite hard on them. At the first stop, Gekkeikan, the annual "Sake Brewery Festival" was being held, with the brewery opened to the public for free and free sake tasting available. One of the guests, who enjoys sake, was very pleased and purchased some Japanese sake on the way out. Afterward, we had originally planned to visit Chion-in, but they said, "We visited Todai-ji and Kofuku-ji in Nara the day before, so we would like to reduce the number of temples," so we skipped Chion-in and headed to Gion. The afternoon visit to Kinkaku-ji was in light rain, but they were delighted, saying, "This temple is worth it." After guiding them around Gion, they said, "We are getting cold and would like some coffee," so we stopped at a café near the entrance to Gion for a coffee break. Inside were many other international visitors seated as well. After that, they decided to do some shopping on their own, and the tour ended. The photo was taken at Fushimi Inari.
