Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like on a Rainy Day? A Licensed Guide's Report

Body:

[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private one-day tour of Kyoto for a group visiting from Europe. It was their first time in Japan, and they had already been traveling in the country for about two and a half weeks. They had also visited Hokkaido and enjoyed skiing there, along with sightseeing in Osaka, Hiroshima, and Nara.

Since it was raining fairly heavily at the start of the tour, we decided to begin with Nijo Castle, which is mainly an indoor site. Nijo Castle was quite uncrowded, which made it easy to guide there.

By the time we began strolling through Gion, the rain had stopped.

To reach Kiyomizu-dera Temple, we took a route up Yasaka Street, passing by the Yasaka Pagoda. It was a slightly roundabout way, but the guests were pleased to be able to take photos of the pagoda.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple was more crowded than expected, and perhaps because it was a national holiday, there seemed to be many Japanese tourists.

After exploring Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, I explained how to get back to Kyoto Station from in front of JR Inari Station, and we parted ways.
