From there the group visited Hotel Kyoto at 10:00, Genkoan (400) less common by taxi and keeping a taxi at 10:30, Gioji (300) less common by taxi at 11:30, Arashiyama Bamboo path by walking at 13:00, Tenryuji (500+300) by walking at 13:10, Togetsukyo by walking at 14:00 and Kiyomizudera (500) by taxi at 14:30.

The guests were visitors from North America who had no particular requests about where to go, so I created an itinerary that mixed some lesser-known spots with major highlights. They were delighted wherever we went and were very pleasant guests. I showed them many places, though they did not do any shopping at all. The bamboo grove in Sagano is currently in its leaf-changing season (chikushu), so it looks a little less impressive compared to its peak. Reporting the tour route has become much easier.
