What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour with a Licensed Guide Like? A Guide's Report
The guests were visiting from Europe. The day before the tour, I received an email asking to change the destinations, but in the end we decided on the destinations after meeting in person. Giving top priority to the wishes of the guests, we first went to the bamboo grove. The guests walked very slowly. We took a break at a smoothie shop just before Nagatsuji Street and had banana smoothies, which became lunch. At Kinkaku-ji, after walking around, the guests wanted to rest, so we had cold matcha at a tea house and took a leisurely break. Before resting, the guests had said they wanted to return to the hotel, but after the break they felt refreshed and we visited Fushimi Inari as our final stop. The guests said they would turn back before reaching the Senbon Torii, but I suggested that since we had come this far, we should go all the way to the Senbon Torii, so we took photos near the entrance of the Senbon Torii and then returned.
