What Is a Private Kyoto Day Tour by Bullet Train Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

1. The guests arrived at Kyoto Station by bullet train at 8:51. I picked them up on the platform and the tour began. 2. At Fushimi Inari, the guests purchased items such as a torii gate magnet. 3. At Tenryu-ji Temple, we enjoyed the fully bloomed hydrangeas and lotus flowers. 4. In our prior email exchange, the guests had expressed a wish to visit Ryoan-ji Temple. Since we were running about 20 minutes ahead of schedule, I suggested that if they were willing to skip Gion, we could visit Ryoan-ji instead. The guests agreed, so we visited Ryoan-ji. 5. After visiting Ryoan-ji, the guests asked whether it would be possible to extend the time so they could also see Gion. I presented the additional taxi cost and guide fee for a 30-minute extension, and the guests agreed, so the 30-minute extension was confirmed. The guests had booked a 15:30 bullet train from Kyoto Station to Tokyo, but they changed it online to 16:00. 6. At a shop in Gion, the guests purchased bread, a bag, and other items, and we arrived at Kyoto Station at 15:30, where the tour ended.
