The group was very enthusiastic, and I received several messages the day before the tour to coordinate the details. Because the guests came from a region not accustomed to heat and humidity, I planned an itinerary that focused on major sightseeing spots representing Kyoto while choosing places that were easy to reach and helped them avoid the worst of the heat. We stopped by a popular cafe they had requested, and I kept an eye on how everyone was feeling as we went along. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the scenery from the vehicle windows and had a wonderful time. At the souvenir shops, they were pleased to purchase some of their favorite items. Since the guests planned to explore the area near their hotel the following day, I shared some recommendations for places to visit.

Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option – while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. You are the best Chiyuki – grateful for your hospitality and gracious hosting.

which was fabulous and the for a Kibe beef lunch, then toured Chinatown and did some
