Title: What's a Private One-Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from Europe. Some of them had been to Kyoto before, while others were visiting for the first time. I took the group to Fushimi Inari, Sanjusangendo, Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), and Arashiyama (the bamboo grove and Nonomiya Shrine). Since it was a tour with a lot of travel time, I had planned it without a lunch break, but as one of the guests had not eaten since the previous afternoon, we stopped at a convenience store on the way to Kinkaku-ji so that everyone could have a light meal. (In situations like this, traveling by car is very convenient.) Some of the guests said that Kinkaku-ji left the strongest impression, even though it was crowded. Some of the younger guests said they liked the bamboo grove best. Fushimi Inari and Kinkaku-ji were very crowded with tourists, but since the roads were quite empty, we were able to move through the tour very smoothly. Thanks to this, I was glad we were able to have a light meal, even if it was just at a convenience store.

My name is (Mr.)Michiharu Aioi and I worked at Electronic Manufacturing Company (Panasonic) for more than 40 years in charge of overseas sales.
I learned a lot in these 40 years and now I would like to contribute to the promotion of mutual understanding with foreign countries being involved in tourism busines utilizing my long experience in my previous company. I will do my best to make each trip very fruitful for each foreign visitor.
As for my language ability, in addition to English, I can speak Spanish which I used in my job and I can communicate with Chinese people with intermediate level. Finally It is my great pleasure if my activity could work in the mutual understang with foreign visitors. Thanks a Lot !
