What Is a Private Kyoto Day Trip by Bullet Train from a Himeji Cruise Port Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests joined the tour as a group that had arrived at Himeji by cruise ship. All of them lived in North America. The plan for the day was to take the bullet train to Kyoto and then return to the cruise ship, which made for a very tight schedule. I considered skipping lunch, but at the strong request of the guests I had to include it. To keep it short, I made a reservation at a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant on the way from Fushimi Inari to Arashiyama. I skipped my own lunch to help everyone with their orders. Since we were traveling by microbus, I had to pay close attention to getting on and off, and the walking distances also became longer. The guests wanted to buy souvenirs, so after discussing it we changed the plan from Nishiki Market to the Shinkyogoku shopping arcade. After that, we had planned to visit Gion, but since the guests were worried about missing the bullet train, they said they wanted to skip Gion, so we returned to Kyoto Station a little earlier. In the end, skipping it turned out to be the right decision. The photo was taken at the Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama. Some of the guests were very cooperative, which was a great help.
