Tour Itinerary in Detail
The tour started at 9:00 at Hyatt Regency Kyoto and ended at 15:15. The day ran to 6 hours and 15 minutes from start to finish. It included lunch at Katsukura Ginkakuji Branch at 11:35.
Over the course of the day the route took in Fushimi Inari Taisha at 9:15, Gion Tatsumi Bridge at 11:10, Kinkakuji at 13:05 and Nijo Castle at 14:15.

Today I guided a group visiting from North America. Their requested destinations were Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera, and Kinkaku-ji, but the pace was fairly relaxed overall, shopping took some time, and mobility was a consideration, so we ended up spending quite a while at Fushimi Inari Taisha. Judging that there would not be enough time to visit Kiyomizu-dera, I explained the situation to the guests and we visited Nijo Castle instead. As the school excursion season had begun, there were many more tourists around, but perhaps due to good timing, it was not too crowded and we were able to see things at a leisurely pace, which was wonderful.

We spent half a day with Kaeko Tanigawa taking us to Daitoku-ji and Kinkaku-ji temples and Nijo castle in Kyoto. She is very nice, customer-oriented and knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history.

Kaeko Tanigawa was fantastic at helping us create a tour that worked for our family with two young children. It was a very hot day, but the air conditioned van was perfect. We loved making ramen together, feeding monkeys, and seeing a few top sites of Kyoto.

Kyoto Private Tour
Kaeko was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and my husband and I had the best time with her during our honeymoon in Kyoto in April! She reached out well before our trip to get to know our interests and carefully planned an itinerary that was perfectly tailored to us—even helping us choose the perfect lunch spot.
