What Is a Private Day Tour of Kyoto's Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama, and Fushimi Inari Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group visiting from North America, and some of them had been to Japan many times before. I took them to Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama (the Togetsukyo Bridge, the Sogenchi Garden, and the bamboo grove), and Fushimi Inari. They listened attentively to my explanations, but some of the guests did some shopping partway through the tour, which took up quite a bit of time. The weather was perfect for sightseeing, and everyone commented that Kinkaku-ji was their favorite. The guests asked me to take a group photo, which I did, but I later received some feedback that my photography skills could be improved. (I showed them the photo right after taking it and they confirmed it was fine, but they gave me the feedback afterward.) I felt I need to practice taking good photos even in crowded places. After the tour, the guests had signed up for an evening illumination viewing tour at Nijo Castle, so I took them to Nijo Castle and said goodbye there.
