Title: What Is a Private Tokyo Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests visited Japan from Europe. The group arrived in the lobby ten minutes before the scheduled start time. One of the guests took the lead in planning the trip to Japan and seemed to be very fond of Japan, wearing a T-shirt of a popular anime and a necklace made from a five-yen coin. The group got along very well, and when something was a little complicated, it was explained in their own language within the group. The guests were smokers, and at the end they asked where they could find a smoking area, so we walked together to a department store and I showed them the smoking area on the top floor.
A notable stop on the tour was the Daimaru department store in Tokyo. Large department stores in Japan are a popular destination for visitors, offering a wide range of fashion, household goods, and specialty items across many floors. Their basement food halls, known as depachika, are especially famous for their beautifully presented sweets, prepared foods, and regional delicacies, making them a convenient and enjoyable stop for international travelers. Many of these stores also provide tax-free shopping services and facilities such as observation areas or rest spaces on their upper floors.

I also believe that every traveler has different interests. Some guests are fascinated by history and Buddhism, while others enjoy food, shopping, traditional arts, local life, or beautiful scenery. Please feel free to tell me what interests you most. I will do my best to make our tour suit your interests and pace.
Your comfort and safety are also very important to me. I will help you with transportation, directions, timing, restaurants, and other practical matters whenever necessary.
