【タイトル】 What's a Private Day Tour of Kyoto Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Gion and Nishiki Market
【本文】 The guests were a group visiting from Europe. It seemed to be their first visit to Japan, and they were surprised by how crowded Tokyo was, but Kyoto was packed with many tourists everywhere we went that day, and on top of that the buses were so full that we could not board. The guests commented that Kyoto was even more crowded than Tokyo. We fell significantly behind our planned schedule, but the guests kindly told me that they had no plans after the tour, so running late was not a problem. Gion was the final destination in the planned itinerary, but the guests wanted to go to Nishiki Market, so I walked them there from Gion. Since the temperature was high that day, some of the guests seemed tired from all the walking. They were apparently heading to Osaka afterward, so I introduced some of the highlights of Osaka before saying goodbye. A notable stop on the tour was Nishiki Market in Kyoto. Often called "Kyoto's Kitchen," Nishiki Market is a narrow, covered shopping street lined with more than a hundred shops and stalls selling local specialties, fresh seafood, pickles, sweets, and other traditional Kyoto foods. With a history stretching back centuries, it is a popular place to experience the city's food culture and sample a wide variety of regional delicacies.

Choose Naoki – you will have a great day!!
Naoki is an excellent guide. His communication with us before our trip was outstanding. I sent him a very long list of things we were interested in, and he carefully helped us understand what was in each area and what we could realistically accomplish in a day.
Naoki even navigated a couple of bus rides for us—which turned out to be a lot of fun! He is highly knowledgeable while still making everything engaging, which made him perfect for first-time visitors to Japan.
We had a lovely day and were able to see many of the things we were most interested in, thanks to Naoki’s thoughtful guidance. He clearly put a great deal of effort into planning our day.
We highly recommend Naoki if you are looking for an easygoing guide who puts genuine care into tailoring your experience to your interests.
