Title: What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like for First-Time Visitors? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visiting from Oceania. Of their long stay in Japan, they were spending several nights in Kyoto. They had arrived in Kyoto the previous afternoon. They were not very familiar with Kyoto and did not have any specific requests. In terms of shopping, only one of them purchased a book cover made of kimono fabric and a goshuincho (a book for collecting temple and shrine stamps). I also guided them to a Kyoto-ware ceramics shop, a yatsuhashi sweets shop, and an incense shop, but they did not buy anything there. At Kiyomizu-dera Temple, they received their first goshuin (temple stamp). One of the guests took many photos with a mobile phone. Finally, I took them to Nishiki Market, where they could eat whatever they liked for lunch, and we concluded the tour there.

A notable stop on the tour was Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Kiyomizu-dera is one of Kyoto's most famous temples and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, founded in the year 778. It is especially known for its large wooden stage that juts out from the main hall, offering sweeping views over Kyoto and the surrounding hills. The temple's name means "Pure Water Temple," derived from the Otowa Waterfall on the grounds, where visitors drink from three streams believed to bring longevity, success, and love.

I’m Ryoichi Kazuma and my nickname is “Kazz”. I live in Kyotanabe city next to Kyoto city. I want guests to enjoy Kyoto by seeing and experiencing not only from outside but also from inside. I offer various information from daily matters to traditional cultures. Most destinations in Kyoto are located on the eastern side or the western side. As I want to guide guests to as many destinations as possible, I make an efficient itinerary and recommend a taxi use to save time. Additionally, I take pictures at various spots and finally share the link to my storage. By doing so, guests can download their favorite pictures from my storage. Please enjoy Kyoto night and day!
