What Is a Private One-Day Kyoto Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Fushimi Inari and Gion

The guests were visitors from Europe on a short, fast-paced trip covering a few nights in Japan. They had requested Fushimi Inari and Gion, and I had been thinking of adding one or two more spots since I expected we might have extra time, but that turned out to be unnecessary. At Fushimi Inari, the guests did some shopping and, feeling hungry, took their time over lunch. In Gion, they enjoyed coffee along with some sweets. After spending a little time shopping in Gion, it was getting close to 4:30 p.m., and one of the guests wanted to rest, so I saw them back to their hotel and said goodbye. It was a lovely group who cared very much for one another. I learned that sushi was a great favorite, and I would have loved to take them to enjoy some delicious sushi.
