What's a Private Kyoto Day Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama, and Fushimi Inari

The guests were a group visiting from Oceania. A jumbo taxi was arranged from 13:00 to 17:00.

Despite the light rain, we visited Kinkaku-ji and Arashiyama. At Kinkaku-ji, the pavilion was beautifully reflected on the mirror pond, and we took photographs.

At Tenryu-ji Temple in Arashiyama, the autumn leaves had finally begun to turn, and we took more photographs.

Upon arriving at Fushimi Inari, some of the guests said they were tired and returned to the Hotel by taxi for the time being, while the rest joined the Fushimi Inari tour.

At Fushimi Inari, we saw the beautiful torii gates at sunset, then traveled by train to a dinner restaurant near Maruyama Park. (The guests who had returned earlier joined the restaurant by taxi.)

Everyone enjoyed beer and sake, ordered à la carte dishes, and had lively conversation.

After the meal, we walked back to the Hotel, ending the tour.
