Title: What Is a Private Kyoto Walking Tour Like in Summer? A Licensed Guide's Report

Because I had heard various requests during our pre-tour communication, I was able to do thorough research and site visits in advance, which made the tour itself easy to conduct. My only concern was how much energy the guests would have left in the heat. Since they had come all the way to Japan, I was determined to fulfill all of their wishes, and by checking in with the guests about how they were doing, I was able to guide them according to plan. At the character goods shop in the Higashiyama area, the guests thoroughly enjoyed their first shopping experience in Japan. Since they had a reservation for the 18:00 Gion Corner performance, I took them there a little early so they could secure good seats, and we parted ways on site. They were very pleased and said it had been truly great.

Hi! My name is YUKA. I’ve got the government license in 2018 and joined a half year traning to do the guide. But a half year later I started my carreer, Covid came. I should have given up guiding. During the Covid, I’ve read many books and made my own materials to explain Japanese culture, history, etc. I love guiding because the guests expand my horizon all the time and let me know their own country and culture, etc. It is really important for us all to know each other and respect each other to make this world peace. Thank you for coming to Japan! Let’s enjoy Japan together!
