What Is a Private Historical Walking Tour in Japan Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
It was a fun tour with a friendly group. They were very interested in history and asked many questions. Since the guests were from Europe, we talked a lot with the help of translation within the group. As some of the guests found walking difficult, I made adjustments such as shortening walking distances and choosing flatter routes. We made time to relax over coffee at a botanical garden and enjoyed a pleasant conversation together. As the guests wished to visit somewhere with a distinctly Japanese atmosphere, the last stop was Kokubunji, where the peony leaves happened to be in full bloom, which the guests greatly enjoyed.
