Tour Itinerary in Detail
This private tour of Hyogo began at 8:30, when the guide met the guests at @ Port Terminal, and finished at 13:30. The day ran to 5 hours from start to finish.
From there the group visited Sightseeing in Arima Onsen town at 9:00, Travel at 10:30, Sightseeing at Rokko Garden Palace at 11:00, Travel at 11:45 and Sightseeing at Meriken Park at 12:15.
What's a Private Day Tour of Kobe Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Arima Onsen and Mount Rokko
The guests were a group visiting from North America. They were all incredibly cheerful, and there were smiles throughout the entire day. After soaking in the hot springs at Arima Onsen, we headed to Mount Rokko. We were blessed with wonderful weather and were able to take many great photos. After that, at Meriken Park, I explained about the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Finally, I guided them to a lunch spot, and the tour came to an end. The driver was also full of hospitality, not only preparing water at their own expense but also getting out of the vehicle to guide us around Arima Onsen.

Andy(Atsushi) was great and communicated with us beforehand about our itinerary. He was flexible with changes we requested. Andy was very informative during the tour. He also was willing to take our family’s pictures. We were able to stop and check out shops as we pleased along the way. He also accommodated lunch requests(as our daughter has food allergies).
One thing I wish we realized was that there is quite a bit of walking. We were fine but for people who are perhaps older or with young children you may want to consider taking a cab between different sites.

Andy Murao was an amazing and wonderful tour guide. He reached out to us with some ideas for our private tour. He worked with us as we made the tour perfectly suited to our needs. He met us on time. He navigated the crowds and the sites perfectly. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. He even put together a nice photo collection of photos he emailed us after. Highly recommend.
