What Can You See on a Private Cruise Ship Day Tour of Kobe? A Licensed Guide's Report
Today's guests were the group visiting Japan for the first time from Europe. After meeting at the Kobe Port Terminal, we visited the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden and the Kitano Ijinkan foreign residences area, took a break at a coffee shop, and then went on to visit Ikuta Shrine, Sorakuen Garden, and Nankinmachi (Kobe Chinatown). We then saw the guests off at the shuttle bus stop near Nankinmachi, bringing the tour to a close.
Today there were four cruise ships docked at the Port of Kobe, which made for a lively atmosphere. The weather was also fine, so we were able to enjoy the tour comfortably. The coffee shop where we took our break was also well received by the guests, and I think it turned out to be a very good tour.

Our delightful guide, Norio, was knowledgeable and a master at train negotiation! A highlight of the tour was the Herb Garden and Ropeway visit. The Sake Brewery and Museum was interesting with fabulous explanation from Norio combined with outstanding exhibits and tastings! He then left us to wander at our leisure in Chinatown.

We learnt lots about Himeji castle and it was very interesting. The gardens were beautiful and it was great to see all the Koi fish. Norio made sure to take us to the best places and even took us to a great local sake place we asked for 🙂
