Can You Do a Private Cruise Port Day Tour from Kobe? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were two people from North America. We met at the Kobe Port Terminal and visited Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden and the Kitano Ijinkan (former foreign residences) area.

Even though it was a weekday following a three-day holiday, there was a long queue at the base station of the Nunobiki Herb Garden ropeway, and we had to wait a while to board. This often happens on days when large cruise ships call at port.

The guests mentioned that they also grow flowers and trees at home, so they took their time going through the Herb Garden while taking photos. After the Herb Garden, we walked from the base station to the Kitano Ijinkan area.

After Kitano, we had planned to go to Kobe Harborland, but on the way to Sannomiya Station the guests said, "We're tired, so we'd like to return to the Port Terminal by taxi." We therefore returned to the Port Terminal by taxi and ended the tour.

As a guide, I felt it was left a little unfinished, but since the guests said the tour was good, I ended the day feeling that it was fine after all.
