Title: What Can You See on a Private Kobe Day Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report

Today's guests were visitors from North America on their second trip to Japan. They had arrived in Japan two weeks earlier and were planning a stay of about three and a half weeks.

On today's tour, after meeting at a hotel in Kobe, we visited the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens, Sorakuen Garden, and the Motomachi Shopping Street. The guests seemed to love the views of Osaka Bay and the city of Kobe seen from the ropeway and the herb gardens, and they were delighted. At Sorakuen Garden, we came across a young pair dressed in beautiful kimono for a "photo wedding," which I think made for a wonderful memory.

At the Motomachi Shopping Street, the guests mentioned they wanted to eat Kobe beef after the tour. When I inquired at a long-established restaurant near Nankinmachi, they said they could accommodate us at 1:30 p.m. After making the reservation, we walked the full length of the Motomachi Shopping Street, which stretches about 1.5 km from end to end. When we returned to the restaurant at 1:10 p.m., the guests said it was still too early. They said they were tired and wanted to cancel the restaurant and return to the hotel to rest. The restaurant's website stated that a cancellation fee would apply, so I was a little worried, but they kindly accepted the cancellation.

In the end it turned out to be a somewhat demanding tour, but the guests were pleased.
