What's a Private Day Tour of Kobe Like? A Licensed Guide's Report on Herb Garden, Sake Museum, and Chinatown
Today's guests were a group visiting Japan from Oceania. We met at JR Sannomiya Station and visited Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum, and Nankinmachi (Chinatown), ending the tour in Nankinmachi.
It was cloudy all day, but the roses at the Herb Garden were especially beautiful, and the guests happily took many photos. At the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum, they eagerly learned about how sake is made and enjoyed a tasting of junmai daiginjo sake. Although the tour ran slightly over the scheduled time, we concluded in Nankinmachi, and the guests were very pleased.

Our delightful guide, Norio, was knowledgeable and a master at train negotiation! A highlight of the tour was the Herb Garden and Ropeway visit. The Sake Brewery and Museum was interesting with fabulous explanation from Norio combined with outstanding exhibits and tastings! He then left us to wander at our leisure in Chinatown.

We learnt lots about Himeji castle and it was very interesting. The gardens were beautiful and it was great to see all the Koi fish. Norio made sure to take us to the best places and even took us to a great local sake place we asked for 🙂
