Tour Itinerary
- AM10:00 Start in front of the Tourist Information Center at Kanazawa Station
- Transfer by bus to Hashiba-cho
- AM 10:20 – AM 11:30 Stroll around Higashi Chaya District (Visit Shima, Kinpaku Sakuda)
- Transfer by bus to Kenrokuen-shita
- PM 12:00 – 12:45 Visit Kenrokuen Garden
- PM 12:45-13:30 Kanazawa Castle Park (Visit Hishi Yagura, Gojukken Nagaya, Hashizumemon Tsuzuki Yagura)
- Transfer on foot to Omicho
- PM 13:30- 14:30 Lunch
- Transfer by bus to Korinbo
- PM14:30-15:40 Stroll around the Nagamachi Samurai District (Visit the Nomura Family Residence)
- Arrange 3 taxis to the cruise terminal and end the tour.

The presence of a travel agency coordinator meant that meeting the guests at Kanazawa Station, after their arrival by a cruise-arranged shuttle bus, went smoothly without any trouble. Although it was during the Golden Week holiday period, the timing at the visited sites such as the Nomura Samurai District and the gold leaf shop Sakuda worked out very well. At the samurai residence, it was quiet enough to take a group commemorative photo indoors, and at Sakuda, there were no other groups of visitors, so I was able to explain the gold leaf process slowly while involving one of the craftsmen, which was very helpful. For lunch at Omicho Market, since some of the guests could not eat seafood, we first went to a shop with take-away options where they purchased packaged fresh products, and they also enjoyed ramen and curry at the food court in the basement. It was a group tour of ten people, but I believe it turned out to be a well-organized and cohesive tour.

Incredible tour, one of the highlights of my trip!
Booking a private tour with Hideharu (Yoshi) Yoshino was easily one of the absolute highlights of my trip.
Yoshi-san customized the day perfectly to my interests, accommodating a last-minute hotel change and timing our morning perfectly so we could see the spectacular Gion Matsuri parade without the heavy crowds.
We explored Ginkaku-ji, Nanzen-ji, and the traditional streets of Gion at a wonderful, relaxed pace.
The tour was fascinating and packed with interesting details that allowed me to truly understand Kyoto’s rich history.
Highly recommended!

A Well-Organized and Informative Tour of Kanazawa
We, a family of 5, had a very enjoyable 6-hour private tour of Kanazawa with Hideharu Yoshino from Japan Guide Agency.
Communication before the tour was excellent and made it very easy to plan the day. Yoshi’s English was excellent, which made communication throughout the tour very smooth. He provided very clear and interesting explanations, giving us a better understanding of the history and culture of the places we visited.
During the tour we explored Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Geisha and Samurai districts.
It was a well-organized and informative tour. Highly recommended.

Our tea and culture day in Kanazawa with our guide Hideharu Yoshino was amazing! Yoshi is very fluent in English and a great companion to walk around with as he knows so much about the history and culture of Kanazawa and Japan. He also knew the best place to grab lunch and helped us pick what was good local fish, curry or tea to try. Plus he made sure we felt comfortable and never out of place wherever we went. I would recommend him for anyone who likes to know more about what they are seeing or what they can do in the area. Yoshi is great!
