Tour Itinerary
- AM 11:15 After leaving luggage at the hotel, depart from the hotel
- Split into taxis and head to Myoryuji Temple
- PM 12:00-12:40 Participate in the Myoryuji Temple tour
- Travel on foot via Nishi Chaya District to the Nagamachi Samurai District
- PM 13:00-13:30 Visit the Nomura Family Residence
- Travel on foot, passing through the 21st Century Museum on the way to Kenrokuen Garden
- PM 14:00-15:20 Visit Kenrokuen Garden, including a lunch break at food stalls
- PM 15:30- 16:00 Visit Kanazawa Castle Park
- Travel on foot to the Higashi Chaya District
- PM 16:15-16:45 Visit the final gold leaf process at Sakuda Gold Leaf
- PM 16:45-17:00 Gold leaf ice cream, tour ends at Hakuichi

This was a combined tour handled by two guides at the guests' request, covering a total of 14 people (a group of 9 and a group of 5).
The day before the tour, the tour coordinator informed us that the arrival time at Kanazawa Station would be 10:46.
Including dropping off luggage at the hotel, we decided to travel to Myoryuji Temple by taxi in separate vehicles.
All of the guests were from Europe, and there had been a prior request that explanations were not necessary and that they wanted to see as many places as possible, so we arranged the tour accordingly.
On the day, the coordinator asked us to divide the tour into groups of 7 each, but following the guests' instructions, after the Myoryuji Temple tour, some of the guests who had difficulty walking would move by taxi, so the tour was divided into a group of 11 (handled by YOSHINO) and a group of 3 (handled by SASAKI).
During the tour, some members moved about freely, and at one point one of the guests was feeling a bit under the weather, so we took them to a pharmacy along the way. However, following the schedule, the guests were able to enjoy the Myoryuji Temple tour, the cherry blossoms in full bloom, a meal at the food stalls, and shopping at a gold leaf shop.

Incredible tour, one of the highlights of my trip!
Booking a private tour with Hideharu (Yoshi) Yoshino was easily one of the absolute highlights of my trip.
Yoshi-san customized the day perfectly to my interests, accommodating a last-minute hotel change and timing our morning perfectly so we could see the spectacular Gion Matsuri parade without the heavy crowds.
We explored Ginkaku-ji, Nanzen-ji, and the traditional streets of Gion at a wonderful, relaxed pace.
The tour was fascinating and packed with interesting details that allowed me to truly understand Kyoto’s rich history.

A Well-Organized and Informative Tour of Kanazawa
We, a family of 5, had a very enjoyable 6-hour private tour of Kanazawa with Hideharu Yoshino from Japan Guide Agency.
Communication before the tour was excellent and made it very easy to plan the day. Yoshi’s English was excellent, which made communication throughout the tour very smooth. He provided very clear and interesting explanations, giving us a better understanding of the history and culture of the places we visited.
During the tour we explored Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Geisha and Samurai districts.
It was a well-organized and informative tour. Highly recommended.

Our tea and culture day in Kanazawa with our guide Hideharu Yoshino was amazing! Yoshi is very fluent in English and a great companion to walk around with as he knows so much about the history and culture of Kanazawa and Japan. He also knew the best place to grab lunch and helped us pick what was good local fish, curry or tea to try. Plus he made sure we felt comfortable and never out of place wherever we went. I would recommend him for anyone who likes to know more about what they are seeing or what they can do in the area. Yoshi is great!
