Tour Itinerary
- AM 9:00 Start at the hotel
- Move on foot to Kanazawa Castle Park
- AM 9:15-10:00 Kanazawa Castle Park (Tour of Hishi Yagura, Gojukken Nagaya, Hashizumemon Tsuzuki Yagura)
- AM 10:15-11:00 Tour of Kenrokuen Garden
- Move on foot to Nagamachi
- AM 11:15-PM 12:00 Stroll through Nagamachi Samurai District (Visit the Takada Family Residence)
- Move by bus to Omicho, then after guiding to the lunch spot, head to Higashi Chaya District
- PM 12:30-PM13:00 Stroll through Higashi Chaya District, tour ends at Kinpaku Sakuda
The guests were enjoying their trip through Japan. They started in Tokyo, and Kanazawa was their second city to visit. As it was just after the Golden Week holidays, there were fewer tourists in the city, so they were able to enjoy the calm atmosphere of the streets and the sightseeing spots. However, within four hours, it was not possible to fully cover all the recommended sites for Higashi Chaya District, Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenrokuen Garden, and the Nagamachi area requested by the local travel agency, so I arranged the tour by introducing these places while also suggesting spots the guests could visit on their own in the afternoon.

Yoshi is an exceptional guide where he took us to the best market stalls at the fish market where every food we indulged in (including the sea snails and eel liver) were superb. The walking tour of the tea houses (Geisha district) and knowledge of the history of both the precinct and greater Japan was first class. Yoshi is also a kind and caring person and made conversation very easy, including when we wanted to dig into the country’s cultural values and lifestyle

YOSHI met us at our hotel and was very friendly and helpful. We walked around the city and he took us to view several different spots including samurai living quarters, geisha houses, the beautiful garden built by Maeda san. Yoshi was knowledgeable about the entire city and it’s treasured history. He inspired me to do some reading on Maeda san, a leader who played a huge part in the development of the city. Yoshi was an excellent guide, and even provided a LOT of recommendations and useful information for after our tour. We would definitely recommend YOSHI san! Note: you will need a IC card to board some of the city buses.

We had a fab tour with Yoshi our guide, we visited the tea district then the gardens and castle which were my favourite. Yoshi was very informative , explaining the history and mechanisms of the castle was built and the water system. He was also very helpful with explaining the bus service.
