What Is a Half-Day Private Kamakura Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were a group who had met each other on a cruise, and everyone got along well, which was very helpful. We arrived at Hokokuji Temple first thing in the morning while it was still uncrowded, so the group could enjoy the quiet bamboo grove, and it was nice that we could enter Kyukoan tea house without any wait. The cherry blossoms along Dankazura had already finished, but azaleas were in bloom, and we walked toward Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine while taking photos. On Komachi Street, since the guests wanted to grab a quick bite, we enjoyed shirasu-man and Kamakura beer in about 30 minutes. The move to Kotokuin was also free of traffic, and the guests were able to soak up the relaxed atmosphere of Yuigahama beach. They mentioned that once they returned to the ship, they would rest a little and then head out to Minato Mirai in the evening. I believe it was a satisfying half-day tour.
