- 8:00am Depart from Marine Port Kagoshima
- 8:30am Arrive at Shiroyama Park (30-minute stroll)
- 9:15am Arrive at Sengan-en (1.5-hour tour)
- 11:00am Board the ferry
- 11:30am Lunch at Michi-no-Eki Hinoshima Megumikan
- Tour of Yunohira Observatory, Kurokami Buried Torii Gate, and Visitor Center
- 2:05pm Board the ferry
- 2:20pm Arrive at Kagoshima Port
- 3:00pm Arrive at Marine Port Kagoshima

Over the course of the day the route took in Shiroyama Park (30-minute stroll) at 08:30, Sengan-en (1.5-hour tour) at 09:15, Board the ferry at 11:00, Kagoshima Port at 14:20 and Marine Port Kagoshima at 15:00.
What Is a Private Sakurajima and Kagoshima Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting Kagoshima, and everyone enjoyed walking and sightseeing energetically throughout the tour. One of the guests was very friendly and talked a lot with the guide, which made for a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was amazed by the power of Sakurajima, including the volcanic ash piled up on the roads and the buried torii gate. They enjoyed eating udon and ramen, and since some of the guests were not comfortable using chopsticks, they were very grateful when forks were provided. They bought many Satsuma small mandarin sweets as souvenirs.

Everyone in our group agreed this was the best tour we did during our 12 day cruise to Japan & S. Korea. Kaz was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We enjoyed every one of our tour stops and our lunch was delicious.

We had a wonderful private tour with our guide Kaz. The vehicle was very comfortable and our driver was very professional. Kaz was great communicating with us prior to the tour and on the day communicating our meeting time at the port, everything was seamless.
Kaz let us customize our tour and also arranged a delicious authentic Japanese lunch. We had a wonderful day and the extra service was amazing. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Beautiful, insightful and memorable!
We definitely had a beautiful, insightful and memorable day in Kagoshima. Kaz, our private guide, had excellent English and shared so much insight to the area from the volcano to Sochu!
We highly recommend this day tour. Our big bonus was the eruption that morning which made us appreciate the active personality of Sakurajima!
