Can You Do a Private Hiroshima Peace Memorial Tour? A Licensed Guide's Report

[Japan Guide Agency (JGA Inc.)](https://www.j-g-a.org/) guide led a private tour of Hiroshima for a group visiting Japan from North America. Before entering the main building of the memorial museum, I used photographs to explain the background of the children orphaned by the atomic bomb, the story behind the photographs taken by a Chugoku Shimbun newspaper reporter immediately after the bombing, and the personal story of a survivor. This helped the guests understand the historical background, and they were very pleased.

Since the guests mentioned that they had watched a baseball game in Tokyo, I also talked about the history of the Hiroshima Carp. Unlike other teams, the Hiroshima Carp does not have a parent company, so they faced financial difficulties and struggled to hire good players. As a result, they often finished last in the league and had no choice but to focus on developing young players. However, whenever those players became good, they were always recruited away by wealthier teams. The guests listened to this history with great interest.
