What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Park Family Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
I guided a group visiting from Europe around Hiroshima. It was a relaxed trip, and the tour proceeded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
For lunch, I took the guests to a newly opened okonomiyaki restaurant near the Peace Memorial Park, where they could enjoy their meal with peace of mind.
At the Peace Memorial Park, the guests showed great interest in the exhibits and explanatory texts, and I was struck by how attentively they recorded them on their smartphones.
Although rain had been forecast for the day, the weather held until the end of the tour, allowing me to guide them comfortably. Overall, the guests appeared very satisfied, and it turned out to be a truly meaningful tour.

Originally, I’m a cycling guide doing cycling tours all over Japan.
But, already done Hiroshima & Miyajima tour more than 400 times.
I traveled many countries in my younger days. I traveled Europe, US, China, India, US, Mexico, Peru Australia, NZ, and so on.
I decided to use this experience to become a guide.
I’m afraid but no tipping required, because cycling guides are not allowed to have tipping in my association. And you do not need to pay for my lunch, because my lunch is prepared by our group.

My wife & I spent a fabulous day with Yuji visiting Miyajima & Hiroshima.. From his greeting to us on our arrival at Hiroshima station to saying good-bye at the same location 8 hours later, he gave us wonderful perspectives of both locations as well as sharing his knowledge of the sights we saw.

Incredible Experience
We had an incredible experience visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima for the first time. Our tour guide, Yuji, made the experience one we will never forget. From start to finish the trip was thoroughly enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable explaining meaning, symbolism, answering questions and went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Yuji really tailored the tour to things we found interesting and made transport with trains and the ferry very easy to navigate- as we did a day trip from Osaka. My husband and I were very fortunate to have Yuji as our guide. Highly recommend this private tour if you are considering Hiroshima and Miyajima!
