What Is a Private Hiroshima Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
On this day, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was closed, so I informed the guests of this in advance and arranged to take them to nearby facilities where they could understand the reality of the atomic bombing. When we met on the day, I confirmed this again before starting the tour. The guests had visited Japan several times before but were coming to Hiroshima for the first time, so we visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park together. When we visited the hypocenter and the Atomic Bomb Dome, the guests listened very attentively to the explanations. At Honkawa Elementary School, a staff member at the reception kindly took a photo for us. After that, we moved to Hiroshima Castle, where I explained the history of Hiroshima. Then we enjoyed okonomiyaki together. We had a pleasant conversation about many topics, including their travels. Afterward, I saw them off at Hiroshima Station, and the tour came to an end.

Lisa was an excellent tour guide, patient and kind, very informative, we traveled some mass transit and she really helped us navigate as visitors.

Lisa Y. Did an amazing job. We had good communication prior to trip and she customized the tour to fit our interests. The day of she provided a detailed and thorough tour! The food recommendations were great as well. Lunch was amazing and we even stopped for drinks and some amazing maple leaf pancakes.

We had a fantastic day with our local guide Lisa. The tour was well thought out and all transfers and destinations were smooth and enjoyable.
