- Hiroshima Station (11:30) → Travel by taxi → Peace Memorial Museum (12:00) → Peace Park (13:00) → Orizuru Tower (14:00) → SOKO CAFE (14:40) → Shukkeien Garden (15:30)
What Is a Private Hiroshima Day Tour Like from Osaka? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were visitors from North America who came from Osaka and planned to return to Osaka by shinkansen after the tour. It was their first time visiting Hiroshima, and they were deeply moved and saddened by the exhibits at the museum. They listened attentively as I explained the monuments within the Peace Memorial Park. Since they wished to purchase a kendama for their grandchild, I guided them to Orizuru Tower, and as they were fond of matcha, we stopped by SOKO CAFE on the way to Shukkeien Garden. Afterward, they enjoyed the scenery of Shukkeien Garden, and I called a taxi to Hiroshima Station before we said our goodbyes.

Hello. My name is Yoko Shimada. Families traveling with children are always welcome. I have more than 15 years of experience teaching English to children from toddlers to junior high school students, and I currently work as an online Japanese teacher, especially for children from around the world.
I am a licensed childcare worker, a certified junior high and high school English teacher in Japan, and a guide interpreter licensed by the Hiroshima Prefectural Government.
Because of my experience working with children, I always try to create tours that are warm, flexible, and comfortable for guests of all ages.
I enjoy creating interactive and memorable experiences through conversation, local stories, and small cultural activities such as origami.
I was born in Ehime, raised in Shimane and Hiroshima, and have lived in Hiroshima for more than 30 years. I love meeting people from different countries and learning about different cultures, so please tell me about your country too!

Great Hiroshima tour with Yoko
Great experience and fantastic private tour in Hiroshima. Our tour guide, Yoko, had prepared the tour well in advance and we have tailored the tour also considering our kids (13 and 15 years old). The tour lasted around 4 hours. My kids and us all really enjoyed the way Yoko explained the history of the city, the museum, the dome and the garden visit. Highly recommended !

Yoko is a very friendly, positive and knowledgeable guide who contributed to us having a fantastic experience, and got a good introduction to the history of the place. Yoko was well knowledgeable and catered to our son who was sea sick. She also was there for my little one who didn’t like some of the photos in Hiroshima library. We enjoyed her tour so very much and plan to book her next time we come back!
