Tour Itinerary
- 9:00 Meet at Hiroshima Port Ujina Terminal
- 9:00 Travel to Peace Park by taxi
- 9:15〜10:45 Peace Park and Museum (about 90 minutes)
- Walk to Hiroshima Castle (about 15 minutes)
- 11:00〜13:00 Hiroshima Castle (castle tower and surroundings)
- 12:30 Okonomiyaki restaurant
- 13:30 Guide to convenience store and Shukkeien Garden, then disband
What's a Private Walking Tour of Hiroshima's Peace Park and Castle Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The tour was with a group visiting Hiroshima. I guided them through the Peace Memorial Park and the museum, and then to Hiroshima Castle. The guests were interested in history and well-informed about Japanese culture, so they listened with great interest to my explanations about the castle town. When one of the guests was looking for a USB drive, I helped them search at a convenience store, which they appreciated. We also looked for tweezers, but unfortunately could not find any. I guided them to Shukkeien Garden and we parted there, but as they wanted to return to the port, they left soon after, so I helped them catch a taxi and saw them off.

Walking through the park together, we can reflect on the powerful message of peace it conveys. Itsukushima Shrine, famous for its red torii gate floating in the sea, is located on a picturesque island. It’s a place where you can enjoy a truly relaxing and serene time.
I can also guide you to other popular tourist destinations, help you enjoy Hiroshima’s local delicacies such as okonomiyaki, oysters, and conger eel, or assist you with shopping.

Moving experience with amazing guide Kyoko. Kyoko met us at the cruise terminal and took us to the Peace Museum, Dome, and Peace Park. We then went to Mijama Island and back to cruise port. We were a group of four senior citizens and Kyoko was so kind and caring and made sure we made it back to the port safely. Kyoko was very informative and taught us so much about Japan. We even had a picnic (Hamani) under the cherry blossom trees with Kyoko. We had a very memorable day in Hiroshima which has left lasting impressions on us.
We would highly recommend this tour and our amazing guide Kyoko.
