- 9:00 Meet at the Sheraton lobby → 9:20 Depart from Hiroshima Station by streetcar → 9:50 Arrive at Atomic Bomb Dome → 10:00 Stroll around the Peace Memorial Park (Aioi Bridge, Atomic Bomb Dome, Memorial Monument for Mobilized Students) → 11:00 Coffee break at the Piano Cafe on the 2nd floor of the Rest House + paper crane folding experience → 11:30 Children's Peace Monument, Memorial Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims, Peace Memorial Museum gift shop → 12:10 Depart from Atomic Bomb Dome by streetcar → 13:20 Arrive at Hiroden Miyajimaguchi, board the 13:55 JR ferry → 14:05 Arrive at Miyajima Pier, lunch at the okonomiyaki restaurant "Kurawanka" in the Omotesando shopping street → 14:40 Visit Itsukushima Shrine and enjoy momiji manju while walking through the Omotesando shopping street → 15:55 Board the ferry, walk to JR Miyajimaguchi → 17:00 Disperse at the Hiroshima Station concourse
What Is a Private Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park Walking Tour Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group of close friends visiting from Oceania. Since it was a fairly large group, I made an effort to speak with everyone equally, though it was somewhat challenging to build rapport evenly with each person. As they mentioned they would be cycling along the Shimanami Kaido the following day, I guided them by connecting the relationship between Hiroshima and the maritime industry with Hiroshima's geographic conditions, and explained the wartime demand industries and its role as a military city. At the Children's Peace Monument, while I explained the life of Sadako using my own visual materials, many of the guests took photos of them, so I feel I was able to convey the importance of peace. Everyone finished with a smile, so I was able to carry out the tour while enjoying it myself.

Hayato was a great tour guide. My family and I loved our time in Hiroshima and Miyajima with him. He took us to a local cuisine for lunch after the peace memorial and before heading to Miyajima. He has a lot of knowledge of the area and was also very communicative. My children also loved him. We ended up spending more time than planned and he was so gracious to stay with us extra time and make sure we had the best time while we were here. I would highly recommend booking with Hayato. We have been in Japan for 2 weeks and this was our best day we had!
