Tour Itinerary
- 10:00 Meet at Hiroshima Station Shinkansen Exit → After storing luggage in the coin lockers on the 1st floor concourse, 10:30 travel by train to Miyajima → Board the ferry → 11:10 arrive at Miyajima Pier → Visit Itsukushima Shrine and Daiganji Temple → A little food-walking along Omotesando Shopping Street → 12:30 travel by ferry and streetcar to Atomic Bomb Dome → 13:30 arrive, Peace Memorial Park (Atomic Bomb Dome + Hypocenter + Student Mobilization Memorial + Rest House + Children's Peace Monument + Flame of Peace + Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims) 15:30 finish sightseeing → Return by streetcar to Hiroshima Station → 16:00 disband at the meeting place
What Is a Private Guided Tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from North America. Before Hiroshima, they had visited Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka, so they already had some basic knowledge about Japanese shrines, history, and culture. On Miyajima, when I explained the differences between Shinto and Buddhism, the group showed interest, remarking that it was unique how various religions are followed almost unconsciously. At the Peace Memorial Park, I explained that some of the guests were around the same age as the students who were mobilized during the war, and I emphasized the importance of passing on the message of peace to the next generation. One of the guests shared their impression, saying it had been a deeply moving tour and thanking me for adjusting the timing. I was glad the tour was completed successfully.

Hayato was a great tour guide. My family and I loved our time in Hiroshima and Miyajima with him. He took us to a local cuisine for lunch after the peace memorial and before heading to Miyajima. He has a lot of knowledge of the area and was also very communicative. My children also loved him. We ended up spending more time than planned and he was so gracious to stay with us extra time and make sure we had the best time while we were here. I would highly recommend booking with Hayato. We have been in Japan for 2 weeks and this was our best day we had!
